Chia latte recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 200 ml milk or plant-based milk almond, oat, or coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch of cinnamon optional

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together the chia seeds and about 50 ml of milk.
  • Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, until the seeds absorb the liquid and become gel-like.
  • Heat the remaining milk in a saucepan (but do not boil it).
  • Add the honey, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Stir in the pre-soaked chia seeds.
  • Pour into a mug and enjoy warm.
  • Chia latte can also be prepared in several flavors, for example with Matcha powder, cacao powder, or a little espresso.
